Audio Book Library
The Seneca Falls Library is now making available to its patrons a library of more than 1,000 audio books — books that can be downloaded on to a computer and then played back on the computer or other listening device.
The service is being provided free of charge to Seneca Falls Library patrons.
Net Library provides more information on recommended portable listening devices.
Here is some information to help you get logged on to the Audio Book library for the first time.
Before you begin, you need to have the Barcode number from your Seneca Falls Library card. Once you have your number, click on the following link (which also is on this web site's main page):

What you will see next is the following screen, where your Barcode number needs to be entered. Then click on the "Login" button.
If your browser allows pop-ups you will be taken directly to the next screen; if you have popups blocked, you will see a prompt like the one above; click on the button to indicate you wish to proceed.
The page that opens next shows you that your are on the Seneca Falls Library's Audio Book collection. You can search the collection, but to download audio books, you need to set up a free account. Click on the link in the upper right of the screen that says "Create a Free Account" to do that.
To set up your account, fill in the required information and click on the "Create an Account" button when you are done.
The next screen will show that you have successfully created an account.
Below is an example of a book that can be downloaded. In addition to the information on the book, the page also shows you how long it will take to play the book, and the size of the file you will need to download.
Use the audio book library's online help system for further information on how the system works.
