No T.V. Week At the Library

More Fun & Games

National "No T.V. Week" is being celebrated at the Seneca Falls Library.

No T.V. Week runs from Sunday, April 22, through Saturday, April 28, and it is an addendum to the "Fun & Games Week" the kids just enjoyed at the Library. (Shown above are three of the program participants during one of the week's activities.) The kids walked, wrote in journals, jumped rope, learned about the card catalog, the library and more. They spent the week just having good fun with no T.V. in sight.

They are armed with pedometers, hula-hoops, journals, jump ropes and can be identified as a Love the Library kid by their T-shirts. Next week they will try No T.V. Week - making good healthy choices that are not focused on TV or food, and continuing the activities they have done this week. And, adding to them:

Monday, April 23rd 5 p.m.: Yoga at the Seneca Falls Community Center

Monday, April 23rd 4-6 p.m.: Scrap booking with Georgia Connolly, Seneca Falls Library Meeting Room

Tuesday, April 24th 4-6 p.m.: Learn to knit with Heidi Egan, Seneca Falls Library Meeting Room

Wednesday, April 25 4-6 p.m.: Journaling, Seneca Falls Library Meeting Room

The Seneca Falls Library will have board games available for fun this week.

Sign up for classes at the desk - 568-8265 x2. Try to fill your week with activities and fun! All the events are free.

The programs have been sponsored by a grant from the Seneca County Department of Health. They are also supported by Rape and Abuse Crises Center, Waterloo Premium Outlets, Little Me, Carter's, OshKosh B'Gosh and Seneca Office Supply.
