Reading Aloud to Your Children!

The Seneca Falls Library will host Reading Aloud to Your Children! The literacy awareness program will be at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 3. The event feature Carleen Mull, the Literacy Coach and Coordinator at the Frank Knight School. Carleen will discuss the importance and best techniques for reading to children.

Which child has the larger vocabulary with which to understand the teacher, one who is read to or one who is not? Which one has the longer attention span?

The United Way of Seneca County has declared a week of Literacy Awareness. The Library supports this endeavor by hosting Carleen Mull who will tell us how important it is to read aloud to children and how it effects their achievement in school.

All a parent needs - all anyone needs - is a free library card, 15 minutes each day and the determination to invest their mind and time in a child's future. Carleen has ideas and answers on how to raise a reader. Come learn!
